i r MILLS CUP Won by Stratford Stratford won the Mills Cup and Inglewnnd was the rurmer-up at the ten-a-side Rugby tournament held at Manaia Domain on Saturday by the Manaia Hibernian Sports Ciub and the ■Waimate Football Club. The weather was not very favourable at the outset and a heavy shower fell later, but - conditions improved for the finals. ' Big scores were out of the question, "but generally play was of a tree and open character and there is every prospect of a higher standard of foothall in the Rugby competitions. In the preliminaries the Waimate A team, containing a strong combination, ' went clown by eight points to nil to Stratford. Kaponga A (last year's runner-up) was beaten by Inglewood by five points to nil. Bowman and A. Spratt. At the conclusion the cup was presented to the winning captain and the captain of thc"funner-un was presented with a football. The two teams were entertained to dinner at the Waimate Hotel and each member of the winning team was pi'esented with a miniature cup.
