Wandering Horse For allowing a horse to wander on the road Douglas Collins, who did not appear, was convicted and fined £1 and costs at the Stratford Court today. Sub-Inspector Dixon, for tho Borough Council, stated that on information received he had found the horse on the Brecon Road at 11.30 p.m. Poppy Day Appeal About £7O is expected to be realised from the Poppy Day appeal on Saturday. The sum of £G4 was collected from the sale of poppies in Stratford and a further £5 or £6 is expected from country districts. This is about £6 less than last year, and taking the times into account is considered satisfactory.
