Happy Birthday Function

VISITORS
The sixlb anniversary of its birthday was celebrated by the Brownie nack of Stratford at a happv function in the Parish Hall on Saturday afternoon. Tn addition to tb" Stratford Brownies, Mrs. Harding, Brown Owl, was present with her pack. Mrs. D. K. Morrison, provincial commissioner, Miss Skinner, provincial secretary, Mrs. Patterson. Brown Owl and Miss Greig. district secretary, all of Now Plymouth, were also in attend ance and took th n onnortunitv not only of joinine: in fhn fun. hut of dismK3«inf vn''i"s ni'iHors with the district commissioner. Mr. D. Steven and members of the Strafford committee of whom Mesdames A. Moon. R. B. Andnrcon. F. Bowler. B. P. P'dlring'U' and White were assisting at the function.
Following a lively hour of renins and games, members of the Brownie nack gave a number of items nnd Mrs. Morrison ou f +i Ir . onion did bb'thdiv cake after little Co 11 R°- T i T.'.oiv. t voungest Brownie. b"d successfully blown out the six eagles. The ouTtfn'g of the cake was made an impressive pwpinnnif, when Jnvo.o Hewitt. the oldest Brownie. presenter" the commissioner with a beautiful bouquet. The amusements of the afternoon were organised chiefly bv Miss Mona trommel!, acting Brown Owl. and M'ss K. Oallaedinn, nack leader assisted bv Guides F. Black. B. Tin-bridge and B. Knight under Captain Close.
