Christchurcln City Council BALLOT PAPER A FOOT LONG Press Association —Copyright Christchurch, April 20.—Christchurch City doctors will bo faced with a ballot paper about a foot and a-half long when they come to cast their votes at the municipal elections. There are 43 nominations for the city council, a record number, far exceeding the previous record of 34 candidates established last year. The nominations include representatives of the Citizens' Association, Labour, Socialist and Communist Parties, and a large group of Independents. The sitting Labour Mayor, Mr. D. G. Sullivan, M.P., is being opposed by Mr. L. C. Walker, an Independent.
