BOGUS TRAFFIC INSPECTOR

Christchurch, April 13. —Complaints .of tho activities of a bogus traffic inspector were received by the Christchurch' City Council from a woman writer, who stated that she was walking near the Bowker fountain when an elderly man officiously ordered her to walk in another direction. Several older women were likewise accosted. The letter was referred to the chief traffic inspector, who reported that twice during the past month he shifted a man acting as an inspector in the centre of a street. The department did not know the man's name.
