BIBLE CLASS CAMP

Methodist Young Women The annual camp of the Tara-naki-Wanganui Methodist Young Women's Bible Class Union is being held at the vStratford High School, and there are over forty members from all parts of the province present. The camp was officially opened on Thursday evening when Mi's. W. B. Comings (Waitara), the Camp Mother, welcomed the students. Miss E. Cooper, of New Plymouth, is the officer in charge, and all the camping requirements are being met in the school buildings, where two class-rooms now resemble dormitories. The camp beds and the usual covering are arranged in order on the. floor. Another class-room is being used as a kitchen and dining room, an arrangement of blackboards acting a., a division screen between the two appointments. The routine for the day commences at G. 30 a.m., and a full programme of study, drill and sports occupies the girh;' time until 9.30 p.m. (lights out). The objects of the camp is an attempt en behalf of the movement to make the event an expression of the "Four Square Ideal" of the Bible Glass, which refers to physical, mental social and spiritual ideals, based on' the basis of the sentence, "Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favour with Cod and man." Much time is used in camp study and the students are divided into circles. Each of these has its leader, who conducts and controls the discussions of the subject "Eternal .Light." as relative to the anniversary of Easier.

The camp was open to visitors this afternoon, when the students presented entertainment by way of a social afternoon when original efforts were presented. This cv ming's programme will lie covered by a "('amp Fire" and social items and community singing will be the order of the entertain mem'.

A church parade is to be held at the Methodist Church to-morrow morning, and Mrs Cumings will assist the circuit officer, the Rev. T. Skuse, to conduct the ceremony.
