A DRAWN GAME Press Association—Copyright Sydney, Feb. 21.—At Newcastle England in the first innings totalled 254 (Pataudi not out 94, Mitchell 32) in reply to Northern Districts' 322. Wright took six wickets for 79 and Walters two for 42. Northern Districts in their second innings compiled 23G (R. Little 117, A. Baker 50). Bowes took three wickets for 58, Mitchell four for G2 and Tate one for 49. Voce and Brown took no wickets. The match was drawn. , Heavy rain fell overnight. * The Englishmen were 68 in arrears when their innings closed. ' For Northern Districts R. Little hatted attractively. He pasted Mitchell and Voce, but Bowes' bowling troubled the local players as the ball rose dangerously.
