Mr. and Mrs. S. Taylor left by the mail train today on a holiday trip to Christchurch.
Mr. H. Conder, a brother-in-law of the late Mrs. Jonas Masters, left for his home at Levin yesterday after, spending some time in Tai'anaki. Mr Conder will leave on March 17 on a trip to England.

Lady Runciman, wire of Lord Runciman and mother of Mr. Walter Runciman, President of the Board of Trade, died on Monday, the British Official Wireless reports.
Mr. S. W. M. Stilling, of Wellington, who has represented the Australian National Travel Association in New Zealand during the last two year,!, has been appointed to represent Australian tourist interests on the special trade display vessel Nieuw Holland, which is to visit the East. The Nieuw Hoiland carries displays of Australian produce and industrial exhibits. Mr. Stilling will probably return to New Zealand at the end of June. Mr. F\ C. Weetman will arrive from Australia next month to replace Mr. Stilling.
