CANADIAN FARMERS THREATEN TO STRIKE

Rumsey (Alberta), Nov. s.—More than 90 per cent, of Rumsey district wheat growers in a mass meeting unanimously decided in favour of a nation wide strike of Canadian farm, ers to take place before the 1933 seeding season. The meeting unanimously decided to tie up seeding in the district. Far. mers of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are to be asked to co. operate. Speakers demanded a Dominion guarantee to the farmer of the cost of producing the 1033 crops. At times the audience became unruly. A Calgary message says that as far as can be learned, no other fanning community in Alberta has taken a stand favouring a strike.
