The self-styled country visitor who on Monday told the police he had been robbed of a thousand pounds by two women, was not so simple as he pretended to be. A suburban bank teller’s sudden disappearance led to police inquiries, and detectives arrested him in a secluded seaside camp. Latei- Orlando Boyd Dedman was charged with stealing £3640 from the Petersham branch of the Bank of New South Wales. The police were informed that the man had been betting heavily at Randwick. Over a thousand pounds were recovered.
