SUCCESSFUL REHEARSAL

"ABOVE THE SNOWLINE" AND "THE BEACHCOMBER" THRILLS AND COMEDY Last night the "Post" witnessed rehearsals of "Above the Snowline" and "The Beachcomber," winch will be produced in the Town, Hall next week by Mr. W. Graeme-Holder. It can be said that excellent progress is being made with both offerings and the public will be given a worthwhile show. "Above the Snowline" is a mystery in one act which cannot fail to hold the interest throughout. It is generally thought that amateurs should not attempt drama, but these are going to make a big success if the excellence of last night's rehearsal counts for anything. Everything to make for success is there. The plot is really absorbing, and the character drawing is well done. While the whole play is dramatic there are comedy touches to relieve the tenseness, these being in the hands of Mr. Holder himself, who has a part that fits him well. Miss Myra Wilson plays a difficult role naturally and convincingly and takes a very great interest in it, while Messrs. Henderson, Hylton and Barron have also got the atmosphere and will acquit themselves with credit. The story is told convincingly and unfolds itself in a naturdal way, gradually building up to an extraordinary climax which comes with unexpected suddenness after the solution of the mystery. "The Beachcomber," which will follow, is a light musical farce, ridiculously funny and boasting of catchy songs and dances. The cast in this do well also, and the ballet execute some tricky dance movements with skill and grace. It is a thoroughly enjoyable entertainment.
