GOLD RESERVE WANTED
ii CANBERRA, March 24. A Bill to empower the Government to require jthe Commonwealth Bank Board to hhnd over the present gold reserve, if Necessary, to discharge the urgent indebtedness overseas, was introduced I hy the Federal Treasurer, Mr Theodore, in the House of Representatives.
The Bill will also remove the obligation to pay gold for Australian, notes.
