AEROPLANE CRASHES IN RAIN SQUALL

Captain Osmond Jolley (40), the Avell-knoAvn aviator and business man Avho was travelling as a passenger, was killed, and the pilot, Mr. Reginald Robinson, was badly injured, in a plane crash yesterday morning. Robinson is in a critical state. Reginald Robinson Avas injured at Vaucluse in a plane crash and is in a critical condition. Jolley Avas Avith C. I. Degaris, the first local business man to realise 10 years ago the possibilities of the areoplane in practical commerce. He had floAvn from Tamworth, but while crossing the harbour at Vaucluse a blinding rain squall enveloped the place. Robinson tried to get under the clouds, but hit a flag-pole and crashed close to the water’s edge.
