LIKE GOING INTO WILDERNESS
TO ADVOCATE SECESSION AT PRESENT Reed. 10.1 5 a.m. ADELAIDE, This Day. THE Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Butler, declared that the more one considered the disastrous effects of federation, the more one was inclined to support the movement for secession. The Premier, Mr. Hill, commenting on Mr. Butler's statement, said to advocate secession at the present time, when Australia was passing through a financial crisis, was tantamount to going into the wilderness without making provision for the inevitable consequences.
