■* IB SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS. DANNEVIRKE, March 5. The Okarae land ballot to-day resulted: — Section 9, 2G6 acres, Keith J. Ward, Porangahau (28 applicants); section 12, 289 acres, B. V. Bubrie, Waipukurau (27 applicants); section 7, (550 acres, James- A. Quartermain, Dannevirke (23 applicants); section 8, 150 acres, W. 11. Montoith, Dannovirke (.17 applicants); section (5, 272 acres, 11. D. Wright, Tatuma (13 applicants); section 13, 454 acres, Gilbert E. King, Bavview, "Napier (12 applicants). For five sections at Rvlorwls, three miles from Waipnkurau, dairying land, the nine applicants were narrowed down to two. One withdrew, ami .Tolm James Ruder, Waipnkurau, secured the selection o|; section SS, 199 acres.
