ST. ANDREW'S CHURCH.
MEN'S SOCIAL EVENING. The men of the St. Andrew's Church held a social on, Thursday night in, the Church Hall. The attendance was excellent, and several apologies for absence were presented. The programme was in the hands of Mr, P. Aitken, who acted as chairman. The items were of a wide variety—songs, instrumental items, recitations, speeches and stories. There were songs by Messrs. Stan. Robinson, Newton, senr., D. Bain, A. Sextus, P. Thomson, J. Morrison; duets Messrs. Aitken and Newton; trio, Messrs. Aitken, Bain and Sextus. Instrumental items by Mr. G. Dick and! Mr, C. Rogers were greatly Recitations were given by Mr. G. J. Hall._and speeches and stories by Dr. "W. P. Gordon and Mr. J. S. Fletcher Mr. W. Hoskin acted as accompanist. Community singing was led by Mr .P. T. Aitken. Mr. W. L. Kennedy thanked the performers. The Rev. "J. MacGregor snoke in appreciation of the support given by the attendance at the social effort by the Session or the Church.
