CHARGES AGAINST SALAMAN, At New Plymouth yesterday the inquest on Lyall Cordon Christie was hoard at the same time as the charge against \\ ally -Mahomed Siilatnan, ol alleged mauslaughtoi. There were three other charges against Salamjain, pi allegedly w-th intent to defraud, obtaining .sums from various people hy falsely representing himself to he a person callable of diagodisinig ami curing ailments and skilled in the treatment of disease. The people from whom it is alleged Kiidli moiaey was obtained are James Hamlin Gill, Airs. Sidney Jane Merrill and Arthur David Rushtoii. There was a further charge that at Nqw Plymouth, between January 1 and 7, 1930, not being registered under the Medical Practitioners’ Act, he did practise medicine under thy title of doctor, implying that he was specially qualified to 'practise medicine.
