HUIROA.
Taore a good attendance at the euchre party held last Friday night, visitors being present Jioin other districts. The ladies’ prize was won by Miss I. Reid (Flthani) and the men’s by Mr J, Neal, Consolation prizes were won by Miss V. Wallace ('Stratford) and Mr d. Reid. Songs contributed by Miss It. Reid, Elthain, were very much appreciated. The music for the dam e was supplied bv .Mrs J. Reid and Miss Gwen Reid and W. Blair placed extras. ’Those present included Mesdames Martin. J. Reid, AV. .Red, Mitchell, Fraser, T>bdr, If o wen and the Misses Wallace, Fsdaile, Ford, MeKenny, Rogers (32), Walfdw-j (Stratford). Rogers (Douglas), and Reid (2) (Flthani). A very pleasant evening was spent at the residence of Mr and Airs W H. Wall ace on July 10th when about forty residents congregated to "linean”’Mr and Mrs Ilngli Carr. During the evening solos, community singing and humorous stories were appreciated bv all. The evening was brought to a close by singing “For They are -lolly Good Fellows” and “Anlid*’ Lang Svne”.
Mr and; Airs Carrington who have been the guests of Mrs Francis have returned to New Plymouth.
Mrs F. Muggard, Smart Road, is at present spnnlmg a holiday with Mr and Mrs Stanford.
