BERLIN, July 3, The Jioerseu Courier rep oils a serious shortage of food, clothing' ami necessiti es in Moscow. Butter in the country, which was formerly n large exporter 1 is now Ids fid per p ouud, and most national foodstuffs are unobtainable. At Government co-operative stores eggs are only issued for ehildrems consumption.
Supplies of kshiughteiing cattle have stopped l altogether while clothing, foot wear and other necessities are almost unobtainable at any price. Meanwhile within the last two months there has been a heavy deflation in note circulation. The Courier states “If this state of affairs exists in the pampered capital, whose workmen are on a basis of Bolshevism what must it be in loss favoured provincial towns.”
