WAGE CUT OR CLOSE LOW BASE METAL VALUES SYDNEY, June 25. Owing to the heavy' decline in the prices of base metals, three of the chief \amda of Broken Hill, namely the Sulphide Corporation. Broken Hill Proprietary and Block Fourteen are closing down unless the employees agree to a I 7 * per cent, wage reduction.
