HUME DfBUSTEIES To mothers and housekeepers the home industries section of the Stratford Winter Show, to be held from July 9 to July 12, presents an insistent call to exhibit the products of their culinary skill; or, failing the opportunity to compete with their fellows, 'at any rate there is the urge to foregather at the exhibition' and judge for themselves as to the merits-of the articles on the stands, -—j home-made loaf, cakes of all kinds, cream puff's, sponge kisses, plum pudding, sausage rolls, jam tarts, scones, sauces, jellies, picklejs, sweets,' honey and wine—all these provide a field for operations that are within the knowledge of everyone in some direc-

i tion. The fancy work section provides unlimited possibilities for carrying on the good work of showing one's neighbour tntl the world at large the meaning of "The Home .Made Beautiful." Mere man appreciates what this means to a greater extent than many women" imagine—or profess to understand. Her e is woman's legitimate sphere —her own—and everyone of the forty-live classes deals with a subject which nimble lingers and needles can produce with such effect as to -call down a blessing upon the female bead. There is a similar human touch required in the school sewing section, in photography and arts, in the school work, and, last but not least, in the Boy Scout section, wher e the Hillock Ambulance Cup and j other trophies are offered for the J encouragement of manly virtues in ' our budding manhood.
