SOUTH TARANAKI WINTER SHOW
At hawera. EMPIRE WEEK.
If, It is remarkable that a wide in\,terest is tteing taken in the move\rment inaugurated in Havvera in 1917 by-the organiser of the Winter Show and carried oh by successive persons to this year 1930. This scheme lias all along had, the support and! assistance of the various British Trade Commissioners, and ths year Hawera is being favoured by the presence of Mr. Paish, the present Trade /Commissioner of the Dominion. The shops in Hawera will present a very attractive and interesting appearance, as there will be over 1000 . displays of Empire goods. All the spaces in the Show have been let for sometime, and 'special excursion trains ,/are being arranged/for between Wangamii and New Plymouth; which will enable a .number of visitors to see the 21st Winter Show 1 ';
