MAN AND WIFE KILLED

NGAURANGA GORGE CRASH TWO CHILDREN ESCAPE WELLINGTON, April 13. Norman John Cook, a Johnson villc grocer, and Ids wife, have died as the result of a motor accident in the Ngauranga Gorge road at about -2.45 this afternoon. Two fivc-soater cars collided at a right-angled bend and Cook’s car went over the bank and was completely wrecked, ending its career n a stream at the bottom. Mrs Cook, sitting beside her husband, who was driving, was killed instantly and Cook received a fracture of the base o L ‘ the skull, a broken breastbone and a fracture of the right ribs, dying In hospital at 4.30 p.m. The two children, Joan, aged 8, and William, aged 7, who occupied the back seat, were not 'uj iired-
