LONDON WOOL SALES CLOSE OF THE SERIES A BEVIEW OF VALUES LONDON, Dec. 4. The wool sales closed with a firm tone. To-day's offerings were 11,1)58 bales, of which 4542 were from New Zealand All descriptions realised full recent rates but withdrawals were numerous owing to holders' firm limits. Xew Zealand crossbreds again sold readily mostly to Yorkshire. Best, greasy halfbrods brought 17d and fine halfbrods slipc lambs C.M.C. eclipse brought 19Jcl. The totai catalogued for the series was 125,800 bales" of which 109,000 were sold, the Continent taking about. 60,000 and the Home trade nearly all the remainder. The Australian sale amounted to 59,500: bales and New Zealand 35,000. A total of 17,800 bales was held over.
