MISHAP ON STEAMER

A FIREMAN INJURED VESSEL PUTS BACK AUCKLAND, Oct. 2. The steamer Kairanga, which sailed for Gladstone, Queensland at 5.30 tonight, has put hack to port to obtain medical attention for a fireman who has been injured. The nature of the injury is not known. The vessel anchored in the stream at about eleven o’clock and a doctor has gone out to her.
