Messrs J. B. Kilpatrick and P. Healy left by car this morning on a holiday tour in J Hawke,'s Bay.
Mbis Brown, lately residepit in Victoria Boad, left by car this morning for Hokianga, where she takes up. a school-teaching appoitnment.
Mr. M. Bya,n, of Mangatiti, Pahiatua, left this morning on return to his home, after a short visit to Mr. and Mrs. M. Knox, Huinga.
Mr. P. Keller, district Public AVorks engineer, left this morning for Wellinton, on business in conection with the the annual Parliamentaiy estimates.
The death occurred at Dunedin yesterday of Mr J. M. Galloway, aged 75, says a Press Associaion telegram. He was at one time a member of the firm of Callan and Galloway, barristers and solicitors.
Mr William Thomson, the Editor of "The Ne,w Zealaiuler," is at present in Stratfordl, on business cr.iinecteldj with his. paper. "The Now Zealan.der" is published to support the policy of "the United Pnr+y, aiid to promote the sale of British Empire and. New Zealand goods! Mr Thomson is the guqst of Mrs Whittle at the Stratford Hotel. ,
