On Tuesday night a dance in aid I of the earthquake fund was held in i the Oddfellows’ Hall. Being for such a good cause the hall was crowded. Excellent music was provided by the Tangarakau orchestra. Mr G. Murphy carried out the duties of M.C. in his usual capable manner. The Monte Carlo waltz was won by .1. Smithies? and partner and the spot waltz by E. Oliver and partner. PERSONAL. Miss G. Huston has returned to Stratford. , Mr and Mrs Hagg spent a ferv days in Stratford. Mrs Wilton has returned from Masterton. Mr g McGuinn is visiting Eltham.
