ROAD RACE

YESTERDAY'S EVENT. There were seven starters in the Stratford Cycle Club's race yesterday, which was over two- circuits of the Beacooisfield Poad run, a distance of 22 miles. The winner turned up in; K. Stockman (Bmin), who finished minutes before E. Winmill (6min) who came in just before the back markers, third placing gonig to J. Withers (scr). The time for the race was Tlmin 2Gsec. There was a strong southerly wind, but this more or less favoured the riders, except on the run from Midhirst to Stratford. Withers came in in a bunch of five, sprinting to secure third place and fastest time (Gomini 56sec).
