REPAIRING THE TELEGRAPHS.
A 'SHATTERED SERVICE. NELSON, This Day. The Cliief Telegraph Engineer, Mr A. Gibbs, and Mr J. Mauermott, i District Telegraph Engineer, of Welj luigtoix; are at present in Kelson in | connection with arrangements for restoring the. shattered services in the Murchison and surrounding districts. Every effort will be made to link up ' the district again. Telephonic communication is being completed today with Murchison from Reeftoit via Springs Junction and Maruia. Itis understood that the lines are very badly damaged from Glenhope 'to inangahua Junction. j THE EMDEN'S CONTRIBUTION. AUCKLAND, This Day.
