OBITUARY

H K J. F. TOCKE'K. The death occurred yesterday of Mr Julius P. Tucker, sou of Mr au(J Mrs W. L. Tocker, at the early age of 34 years. He had been ill at intervals during the past two years and previous to his death was conlined tc< his home for some weeks. The late Mr Tocker made a start in life with the old Electric Light Company as meter reader, and after a term with the Post and lelegraph Department, joined the Borough electric staff in 1916. During the electrical change-over he acted as foreman of tb« construction work. He was a member of the choir of the local Catholic Church, and was well-known in football circles. He is is survived by Mrs Tbcker and live young children, to whom and to bther relatives general sympathy will b e extended. The funeral leaves the late residence, Miranda Street, at 2 p.m. tomorrow for Kopuatama Cemetery. Before commencing business __ at last night’s annual meeting the Celtic Po'ctball Club a nation of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr Tocker was passed, members standing in silence. The chairman (Mr P. White) said Mr Tocker was an old member of the club, and had acted as coach, doing very good work for the club.
