NOBILE SHOULD NOT BE BLAMED
OPINION EXPRESSED BY RESCUER, ITALIA EXPEDITION. (Received 9.40 a.m.) NEW YORK, March 19. Captain Lundberg, the rescuer of Nobile, who has arrived here, said: “General Nobile should not bo blamed for being the first rescued. If anyone should be blamed 1. should be one, for I insisted ho should bo saved. Captain Bornberg, chief of the Swedish expedition and an officer of the Royal Air Force, ordered mo to bring back General Nobile, because he felt the General would lend his experience and knowledge of conditions to help us rescue other missing members of the Ijtalia’s crew.” —Australian P.A.
