SEVEN THOUSAND MINERS DISMISSED.

SYDNEY, February 15

Seven thousand miners on the northern coalfields to-day were served with notices of dismissal, which were handed to them with the fortnightly pay. Two thousand more who received no pay owing to the slackness, also received notice of dismissal.

The state Premier, Mr. T. It. Bavin, is going to Canberra next week to have a conference with the Federal Prime Minister on the coal crisis.
