The Isis is covered with dangerous ice floes and the Oxford crew therefore has moved to Henley, where a tug cuts a course through the ice to enable the crew to paddle upstream in the morning and downstream in the afternoon. The Cambridge, crew has migrated to Goring-on-Thames. Here the river is frozen in ■ parts so a steel shield has been fitted on the boat to prevent damage from floating ice. The crews will remain at Henley and Goring until they igo to Putney.—Australian Press Assn.
