FARMERS’ EXCURSION TO SOUTH ISLAND

DISCUSSION AT HAWERA. With regard to the proposal to run a farmers’ excursion train from Hawera to Invercargill towards the end of May, Mr J. Pringle, district business , Agent for the Railway Department, was in Hawera yesterday making the preliminary arrangements with Mr E. K. Cameron, Secretary of the South Taranaki executive of the Farmers’ Union. The projected excursion will be the first inter-is-land farmers’ tain ogauised by the ]depa|rtment/. TJhel trip will occujpy two weeks, stops being made at all the principal points en route. An endeavour will be made) to include the Dunedin Winter Show in the initinerary.
