THE ELTHAM SHOW. The Eltham Horticultural Society’s annual summer show was held in the Eltham Town Hall and was highly successful in every way. A feature of th e show was the potato competition, open to schools in the Eltham, district, the prize being a challenge shield presented by the Eltham staff of the Farm-

ers’ Co-op, There wer,e seven entries, about double the number of previous years. Okaiawa has held the shield continuously for about six years, but Ithis year were beaten by Riverlea (84 points). Eltham, Auroa and Okaiawa each scored 82 points, Mangamingi 67, Fmnerty Road 65, Mata 65.
