For the second day of the Pahiatua races the splendid weather attracted a larger attendance. There was excellent racing. The totalizator handled £14,702, compared with. £8230 on the second day last year. The total for the, meeting was 29,134. Last year it was £11,213. It was the most successful gathering for years. After the running of the thud race an inquiry was held into alleged interference hy S, Anderson with Archeria Julorell and others. The committed held that interference: took place hut that there was. not sufficient evidence of incompetent ot careless riding to justify suspension.
