KIKG'S THEATBE. "OHLNATO C r N CHARLIE." • A large 'portion of Hollywoxl gathered! oxcitely at'the* Tec Art Studio recently to- watch the filming of a "thrill sequenoa" conceived soine years ago by the prolific playwright Owen Davis. The scone in question is a feat-.n-of Johnny Hi.nes' new First National Picture "Chinatown Charlie,'* whiott comes to the; King's Theatre to-iWglit only. The; thrill was performed by the comedian, Louise Lorraine. Ilia leading iVidjy, and five vaudeville acrobats, the Mazzetti Troupe, who_ were engaged to perform the difficult feat of making a "span of >de." The acrobats were coupled togethe? securely ',then swung>down to- form a human bridge thirty feet wide- between two buildings andj>hirty feet from the ground, enabling Louise Lorraine to cross and effect her es> d-fpe from a Chinatown den in a street set built to represent Bell street in New York's Chinatown. After his leading lady made the crossing 'successfully, Johnny Hinies followed, gagging his own version of the thrilling escaoa.
