JOCKEY’S ACQUITTAL. '■JURY’S ’SHOUT RETIREMENT. WBLLINGTON, Last Night. ST X minutes were all that were required by a jury in the Supreme Couit .to-day to acquit Walter Scott Rag by, a .jockey, of a charge of rape* at Mosterton. Mr. Justice Reed was on tlie bench, Ragby’y counsel suggested the likely story was one of consent. Mr. Justice Reed said it was not safe to convict ou the evidence. The girl’s story, hie said, was a most extraordinary one.
