. - (SIR JOSEPH WARD RESTING. Press Association —Copyright,, WELLINGTON, This Day. Sir Joseph Ward is suffering from eye trouble and is undergoing treatment. He was advised that he must rest for a short period to prepare for the strenuous work in front of him. His tour of the south has therefore been postponed in the meantime. Ho expressed the hope tMut thia people of New Zealand will excuse him from making political addresses, as he had intended doing. He states definitely that in referene to statements by his opponents in regard to the loan proposals, if he is given the opportunity he will put them into effect.
