THE ELECTION.
J’O THE EDITOR Sir, —’I have been: waitdhdng, not without amusement, the efforts macb to discredit MV Poison, and although he is not personally known toi me I must say that one cannot help but admire the gentlemanly manner! in which he is conducting his campaign. He is being met with personal attacks and what on© of your correspondents referred to as a whispering campaign. The methods of some , Reformers do not seem -to have changed much since 1919 when despite whisperings and misrepresentation on the P ai ’t of MiMasters won the seat. Even then they were not satisfied but endeavoured to unseat him op a. technical point, only to be shown shortly, afterwards what the electors thought of tho tactics. Then we nil remember the whispering campaign carried on at last election, which, was carried on jby certain women who trailed round) from door to door. They caught some people then but T c(o not think it will work again, Mr Poison is evidently going to be shown the tactics but they have been played out. I am, etc. WOMAN VOTER.
