There bus been a sudden development in the waterside sitnation, (be slrikcrs having decided by a secret ballot, to resume w)ork. Meanwhile ever a thousand volunteers are employed on the wharves under polieb protection. Work is proceeding /moodily at Cairns and Townsville. A large section of the volunteers resolved to form their own union t 0 work under the Beeby Award.
