SOUTH TARANAKI ASSOCIATION Messrs L. J. Furric,. 0. M. Coung and C. Massey represented the Stratford) Club at the annual meeting of the South Taranaki Cricket Association, held at Hawera last week. It was decided to carry on with the senior as formerly and that one-day matches bo played. Fixtureswill be drawn for play to commence on October 13th. As an incentive to eUrly starting it was resolved that the period of play be four hours in October and March and four hours and a half in tho other months, unless, in the opinion of the umpire, the light was too bad. A firm stand against defaulters in paying subscriptions wtts urged, and ten names were handed in for the protection of clubs. Mr H. R. P"erry was elected president, the presidents of affiliated clubs being vice-presidents. Mr B. Molone was elected secretory. Messrs Massev, Hushes and Fnrrie were elected-delegates to the' Tkranaki Association. Tli© tone of the meeting was very enthusiastic, and the indications for tho season are excellent.
