WEDDING

PATTINSON—GUPPY. A popular wedding was solemnised, at the Presbyterian Church; Stratford, on June 27th., when Alice, youngest daughter of. Mrs. J. Guppy, Wharehuia, wa s married to John. Reginald, eldest son of Mr. and, Mrs. JPattinson, of Bird Eoad," Stratfora. The service was conducted by the Rev. J. MacGregor.

The, bride, who entered the Church on the arm of her brother, wore a pretty frock of ivory georgette, the bands of tiny pleated ribbon,on the skirt, giving a very charming effect. She also wore a beautiful veil finished with a silver coronet bouquet of frieseas, roses 'and' daphne with maidenhair and asparagus fern. ; The two bridesmaids, Miss Isabel Guppy, sister of the bride, and Miss Nellie Wellington, wore frock bjue crepe de chine, trimmed with blue and silver lace with dainty mop caps of blue tulle 'and wreaths of blue and silver leaves. Their bouquets were composed of deep salmon roses. ' The duties of best man were oarried out by Mr- George Pattinsori;,'.':brother of the bridegroom, while Mr. C. Gibbous acted as groomsman. Mr. C Pickles officiated at the organ. After the ceremony a large number of guests were entertained at the Medina Tea Booms. Mrs. J. Gupny, mother of the bride, was; attired iff black rep, with Hat to match, while Mrs. J. Pattinson, mother of the bridegroom, wore a navy rep ensemble. bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold wristlet watch, and to each' of the bridesmaids a manicure set. The bride's present to the bridegroom was a travelling rug. After the reception Mr. and MrsPattinson left by car for Auckland and Botbru-a, the bride travelling m a frock of navy rep and putty crepe de chine, trimmed with buttons, with hat and shoes to tone.
