main promoters and one very closely associated with the ill' fated HoodMoncrieff attempt at the Tasman Flight, made an offer when the Southern Cross was at Suva, to accompany Kingsford Smith on his Tasman Plight, but according to advice received from the person whom he asked to act for him, Smith had completed his complement, which did not include the Dannevirke applicant.
