RISE IN MARKET. LATEST QUOTATIONS. Dairy produce has risen on London market by 2s during the past week, according to private cabled advice just received. Owing to the fact til it the buttei market has quietened at the advanced price, it is assumed that the peak price for the time being has been attained ami any further substantial rise in the near future is not anticipated. . . Experts regard with optimism the state of the cheese market, and consider that the price is likely to hold for some time longer. It is thought that the price lias been advanced in an attempt to conserve the limited stocks. , It i s interesting to note that the present price of KIGs for cheese is the highest recorded since August t, ] 995 when quotations rose for a period to 110 s.
