POLITICAL
EGMONT ELECTORATE. A largely attended meeting of supptifters o f Mr C. A. Wilkinson was held in the Foresters Hall at Eltharn on Monday evening, over fifty electors being present. Mr T. C. Stanners was appoiiited chairman of the men's committee, and Mrs Thornhill was appointed head of the ladies* committee, Miss Pitts being secretary. Mr Wilkinson briefly Addressed those present, and questions were asked and answered. The meeting which was enthusiastic marks the beginning of a determined effort ;to secure Mr Wilkinsons return. POSTAL VOTING. The coming election for the first, time provides for postal voting for invalids and others who are unable to personally record their votes at the polling booths. The pollinghours are also extended to sevea o'clock in place of Six' o'cldck as heretofore. These innovations will be a convenienceto many voters.
