NO CONFIDENCE
WA'ITOMO POWER BOARD. INVESTIGATION OP AFFAIRS SUGGESTED. .... ... TE.KUITI, June 27. A vote of no-confidence in the Waitomo Power Board as at present constituted was passed ,at a public meeting in Otorohanga last evening. .The meeting was convened by Mr .H. W.. Atkinson, chairman of the Chamber oL Commerce, and the mover and seconder were Mr George Eassey and Mr. G. A. England respectively. On the motion of Mr V. N. Stagg. seconded by Mr H. Maxwell, it was decided to recommend that a firm of public accountants be employed to invesitigate the affairs of the board from the date of the last audited balance-sheet, and that a valuator be appointed to value the stocks of material and goods held by the trading and wiring departments, and that it was preferable that the investigating accountants and valuators should come from a distance, to insure independent.. and unbiased reports.
