WELLINGTON HIDE SALE. The Now Zealand Loan aiu'. Mercantile Agency Co., Wellington, report under dale June 22: -■ The fortnightly sale of sheepskins and hides took place yi sterday, when a fair catalogue was submitted to a good attendance of buyers. Brokers report that competition was fairly animated at prices about par with last sale's levels. Dry sheepskins were in strong demand, especially sound pelted lots showing a fair lentil of wool, which were if anything a little harder, and showed a tendency towards higher prices. Hides were firm, especially for medium and 'light-weight cows. Tallow met a decidedly Hi'mcr maihct, and iols in shipping order wire keenly competed for at an advance on last sale's rales.
