The Napier Park's winter meetiog take s place on Saturday. Good ;iceeptances have been received and racing should be good. * * * A nice field of eleven ha s paid up in the M'oteo Hack Hurdles, 1-j. miles. Braeman, Good' Sport nsndl BUllyfarnon are sure to cany plenty of support, and should go well. * * * Maidos, Radihte and Royal Heather have some good form to recommend them in the. Petono Hack Steeplechase, two miles. Maid'os. may be the best supported. * * * Fee Simple, Royal Lineage and Keen go well over five furlongs, and may be the public's fancies in the Meanee Hack, five furlongs. * # * A small field of five have accepted for the Napier Steeplechase, two and a half miles. Puwhero is topweight with 12.9 and i s sure to be the favourite. Gaze (10.3) may tako on .the Ladies' Bracelet Handicap instead. Mixed Heather and Garzon (10.1) jump well and have a jumper's chance. Son O' Mine (9.0) is doing good work on the tracks. • Puwhero and Mixed Heather are sure to carry most money on the machine. * * * Atareria and Gaze will not want for support if started in the Ladies' Bracelet Handicap, one mile and a quUrter. * * * Twelve have accepted in the) Stewards Stakes, one mile. Beaumont and Huiki go well over the distance and may be thereabouts over the lasfb furlong. * # * Hinekatorangi, Merle and Le Champ should be prominent if strted in the Settlers' Hack, seven furlongs.
