JUDGING AT TOKO. r i The crops in tlioi Toko district onj rered in the Boys’ and Girls’ Agricultural Club’s competition were judged yesterday by Mr A. J. Glasson, of Department of Agriculture and Mr Rod Syme, of the Department of ■Education, both '.of whom expressed satisfaction <at the way in which tho crops had been cultivated, the general interest shown in the competition and the results obtained. Sixteen entries had been made by pupils of the Toko School, but a.s a result of the dry weather in the early part of the season, only seven rcm/unod in at the time of judging. Yesterday each child entering a plot was subjected to a, twenty minutes test at the school prior to the judging of the plots, points for accuracy of answers being awarded in conjune lion with the points for the keeping of the plot charts. Points for weight were allotted in the proportion of one point for each toil to. the acre, find for cultivation on th© basis of a maximum of 40 and for quality on a maximum of 10. Mr T. Needham kindly provided lunch for th© phrty. The results were as follow: — MANGOLD COMPETITION. J. Martin—Weight, 52.} tons, cultivation 40, quality 8. J.
